Survey for Sectoral Paper

The Education and Academia Stakeholder Group (EASG) is one of the constituencies under the Major Group and Other Stakeholders (MGOs) and is an official UN stakeholder group. Every year, each constituency is invited to submit a sectoral paper to present the key issues, policy recommendations and political positions related to the High Level Political Forum (HLPF).

For HLPF 2025, the theme will be ‘Advancing sustainable, inclusive, science- and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its Sustainable Development Goals for leaving no one behind.’ It will conduct in-depth reviews of SDG 3 (good health and well-being), SDG 5 (gender equality), SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), SDG 14 (life below water), and SDG 17 (partnerships for the Goals).

We are inviting all EASG members to contribute to the Sectoral Paper by answering the questions below. As always, the EASG’s sectoral paper will be guided by the human rights framework and a focus on the “leave no one behind” education agenda. Here is GCE’s paper on the Right to education for reference.

The responses to the survey will be collated and a draft will be shared for validation. EASG needs to submit the sectoral paper summary on March 14, 2025. To have time to collate and validate the results of the survey, we hope you can respond to this survey by Thursday, February 27. Your views will be very much appreciated.
